Seven months with you! What a joy! You continue to be the happiest baby around and are just so much fun! You had croup at the beginning of the month. We are lucky we caught it early and got on steroids for a few days, and had no issues at all with it. It is good to see you building an immune system but tough to see you get sick! Mom and Dad both caught your germs and ended up on medicine too! You are eating one meal a day at the table with us. You are Mr. Independent who wants to feed himself, and make a huge mess, so we are limiting it to once a day. You eat squash, carrots, avocado, and sweet potato. We had two trips to the beach this month, probably our last of the summer. We celebrated Daddy’s first Father’s Day this month. He was sick so we let him celebrate in bed all day! At 28 weeks you started doing the cutest backwards butt scoot. You aren’t crawling yet but you are able to get around by rolling and scooting. You can sit pretty well unassisted now, you topple over after a bit so we are still close by. We celebrated the Fourth of July at the beach this month also. It’s always been a special time with lots of celebration going on at the coast, but for the second year in a row everything was cancelled because of Covid. Town was pretty quiet, and it was just us. We did continue our family tradition of dressing up in patriotic attire. We are looking forward to the years to come when it’s safe to celebrate with everyone again. It is so special to continue years of traditions with you! We love you big little one!

Family Beach Vacation 2021

We spent 10 days at the coast on our first big family vacation since having Graham. It was lots of fun and family time! Graham was such a trooper in the car on the way there and the way back, such a great treat for us! We spent the first weekend with Aunt Jody and Penny. Graham went to his first restaurant, Provision Company! Sunday afternoon we left for the night to go to a wedding. It was so much fun to be with friends celebrating again! There were about 100 people at the wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. All but 3 or 4 guests were vaccinated and it it just so great to finally feel safe gathering in groups and to see other people celebrating big milestones safely! We spent the night away from Graham for the first time and he did great with his Aunties. We came back from the wedding and ventured out to another restaurant! We enjoyed the view and the food and Graham was well behaved again! We spent the next couple days by ourselves out adventuring and checking out places we hadn’t seen before. We even attempted a hike, but it was too much even for the Bob. At the end of the week Sean’s family joined us. We celebrated Sean’s birthday. Graham finally got to meet his Aunt and Uncle. We had a fun pool day and a great beach day. Graham put his toes in the ocean for the first time. There were lots of lap naps and walks around town which we all enjoyed. And at Dadima’s insistence we had a family photoshoot since we had everyone together for the first time in over a year and a half. The pictures turned out well, and Bertie is quite a mood in them. She cracks me up. We’re looking forward to our next trip already. I hope Graham will grow up loving the water like me.

Graham is Six Months Old!

21 weeks – First swing ride – not a big fan!

22 weeks – Mommy’s First Mother’s Day

22 weeks

23 weeks – last night in a swaddle

24 weeks – Rolling Boy

24 weeks – I spy teeth!

25 weeks – Mom and Dad’s First Night Away!

25 weeks – Family Beach Week

26 weeks – loving bath time and two teeth!

Wow! Six months! Half a year with you! How can than be!? You are an absolute joy now! You are the happiest baby and everyone we come across comments on how smiley you are. Quite the change from your first few months. We celebrated Mommy’s First Mother’s Day this month. After almost three months on and off with us Dadima and Papa Bob went home to their house as you are officially adjusted to daycare now. We are still loving your school and teachers and see you learning so much already! You spent your last night sleeping in your straight jacket swaddle, we spent almost a week transitioning out. These swaddles saved the day when you were first born, so we were a bit sad to see them go. You’re doing well sleeping in a sleep sack now. You officially mastered rolling from back to tummy and back onto your back this month (23 weeks). You got your two bottom teeth (23-26 weeks). We spent 10 days at the coast and had lots of first. You were EXCELLENT in the car on the way to the beach and the way home, which was quite the treat for mom and dad! You met Uncle Penny, Aunt Shannon, and Kaka. Mommy and Daddy spent their first night away, you did great with Aunt Jody and Uncle Penny. You went to your first restaurant; Provision Company was an excellent first restaurant choice. We celebrated Daddy’s birthday while we were there. We did have a few bouts of sickness this month. You developed a pretty severe cow milk protein intolerance and it made you feel pretty terrible, but once we figured out the problem you were back to your regular happy self. On the last night of our beach trip you woke up with a fever and felt pretty miserable. Overall I am totally amazed at how far you have come in six months and how far we have come as a family in six months! We love watching you grow and learn so QUICKLY! We love you big little one!

Our first Mother’s Day!

We celebrated our first Mother’s Day! Daddy surprised me with an evening away at the Grandover Spa on Friday night where I was pampered with a massage and facial. It was great to have an evening to myself! We got up on Mother’s Day and made a painting for Dadima while Daddy cooked breakfast. I requested that we go to the park and practice with the camera. These are some of the shots. Dadima and Papa Bob were with us so they hopped in on the fun at the park. Some of the pictures turned out great and some… well we still need some more practice with the camera. I also requested Senor Bravo takeout for dinner. Overall it was a fun and relaxing day! I still can’t believe I get to be your momma! What a joy it is to watch you grow and learn and what wonderful day celebrating our family!

Graham is Four Months Old!

First swimming lesson – 13 weeks

Totally worn out from swimming

Met Grandpa Jack – 13 weeks

First St. Patrick’s Day – 14 weeks

First Easter – 17 weeks

It’s been another wonderful month with you. We can see you learning and growing so much. This month, at 14 weeks, Daylight Savings Time and what we’re guessing is the four month sleep regression hit at exactly the same time. Le sigh. So we had a bit of a setback with you sleeping through the night. A few nights you were up almost as much as when you were first born. The past week or so, you seem to be outgrowing it and have mostly been back to just waking up once and falling back to sleep with some help from Mom or Dad. At some point this month you stopped napping very well, and now we get a few 30 minute naps a day in. Dadima and Poppa Bob have been with us most of the month keeping you while Mom and Dad are at work, and it has been so fun to see you develop a bond with them. At 15 weeks you started trying to roll over, but haven’t quite mastered getting all the way over just yet. This month you started putting your hands and your fingers in your mouth to soothe yourself. You’ve started to be really interested in playing with all of your toys, for the most part they go straight in your mouth. Your grasp is getting better and better, you’ve even started trying to hold your bottle by yourself this month. You’re loving all the stroller rides that you’ve been on this month now that the weather is nice. We’re loving that you will still take a nice nap in the stroller. You love bath time still, and take a bath almost every evening to wind down before bed. we’ve been to swimming lessons every Saturday morning and you seem to be really enjoying them. I really hope you will be a water lover! We’ve finally figured out what makes you laugh out loud with joy. Tickling your tummy and tossing you in the air makes you scream and laugh, and we absolutely LOVE to hear you. We love you big.

Christmas 2020

We had Graham’s newborn photo shoot done when he was nine days old. Since it was so close to Christmas and our house was all decorated we decided to change outfits and get in a few Christmas shots. As usual Amber did a great job with our photos! The last few pictures I took of him, because I couldn’t resist the Santa outfit. I mean can you even with him under the tree?! We had the most wonderful time celebrating Graham’s first Christmas. It was just us, at home being lazy and honestly I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Wishing you the very merriest this season!
